Walpole, MA - Walpole Express defenseman Jake Leamer has committed to St. Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire for the fall of 2015. St Anselm College is an NCAA Division II school playing in the ECAC East. They currently are in fourth place behind three nationally ranked programs.
The 6’2”, 190 lb. blueliner from Mertztown, Penn. is a powerful skater with some offensive ability, who will bring a winning mentality to the Hawks next season, according to the Express coaching staff. “I couldn’t be happier for Jake,” said Express Head Coach Jon Lounsbury. “He is a young man who prides himself on character, hard work and perseverance. There is no doubt in my mind that Jake will be successful, and will take his game to the next level when arrives on campus in the fall.”
“I’m excited to be headed to St Anselm College to continue my hockey career and receive a top-notch education,” Leamer said. “I would like to thank my friends and family for always being there for me and pushing me to reach my potential. I would also like to thank the Express coaching staff for helping me tailor my game to be a college-ready player, which has been my dream since I was a boy.”
