Walpole, MA  - Walpole Express Defensemen Ryan McCarthy has committed to Daniel Webster for the fall of 2014. McCarthy is a 5’10” 185 lb. defensemen from Sterling, MA. The 1994 born offensive defensemen was known for his outstanding work ethic on and off the ice as well as his ability to adapt as a forward and defensemen.

Daniel Webster is a new NCAA Division III school currently playing as an independent team for its first season.

“I am very excited to be attending Daniel Webster next year. Playing college hockey has been a long term goalie of mine and I could not be happier to move on to the next level. I would like to thank the Express coaching staff for helping me reach this goal. I would especially like to thank my parents for all the support they have provided me throughout the years,” added McCarthy.

“I have been fortunate enough to have coached Ryan for the past season and more importantly watched him grow as a person. He has an incredible work ethic and truly puts himself in a great position to outwork any player on the ice. I’m excited to see him play out his dream over the next four seasons,” added Lounsbury.

We wish Ryan and his family best of luck at Daniel Webster.
