Walpole, MA  - On Friday the Express hosted the Wizards at Rodman Arena for a 6:10pm puck drop.  Both teams came out flying but were scoreless after the first.

Elizabeth Furfari got the Express on the board first just 27 seconds into the second period.  Cassidy McNeeley collected the puck in the neutral zone and flew past one of the Wizards defenseman.  McNeeley, on a 2 on 1, tread the needle over to Furfari who fired it past the Wizards goaltender.  At 11:29 in the second, Alyssa Murphy dished it over to McNeeley who walked the top of the circle and ripped it past the Wizards goalie.  Furfari got her second of the game on the powerplay when she redirected Sami Barletta’s blast from the point.  Sarah Zedian ended the scoring in the second period when Hannah Murphy passed it up to her on the blue line.  Zedian walked the blue line and shot high on the Wizard’s goalie.

The Wizards changed their goalie in the third period and kept the Express to only one goal.  Cassi Ronan skated the puck end to end and slid the puck past the Wizards goaltender making it a 5-0 win for the Express.  Lily O’Neil faced 11 shots in the 5-0 shutout victory.

On Sunday the Express headed up to Hudson, NH to take on their long time rival, Northern Cyclones.  The Express came out flying and completely dominated the first period, however the Northern Cyclones goalie stood on her head and kept the Express off the board.

In the second period, the Cyclones got 2 past Lily O’Neil when they capitalized on two 2 on 1 opportunities.  The Express would go on a power play late in the second, which saw Elizabeth Furfari fly down the wall and fire it over the shoulder of the Cyclones goalies for the Express' first goal of the game.  With two minutes left in the second period, the Express fell apart defensively and the Cyclones went on to score four goals making it 5-1 at the end of the second.

The Express' Naomi Leasck entered the goal for the third period, while the team battled and made it a 5-2 game quick into the third period.  Alyssa Murphy received the puck from the far side of the neutral zone, put it through the legs of the Cyclones defender and then fired it top shelf over the the Cyclones goaltender.  The comeback effort would fall short however as the Cyclones went on to score three goals taking a 8-2 win.
