Kellie Popkin added a power play goal from Hannah Murphy and Hayley Parrish early in the third period, followed by Kiki Doucette finding Hayley Parrish in the slot to make it 3-0.
“It was nice to see Hayley find the back of the net after being out for a month due to injury,” said coach Danielle Doherty. Elizabeth Furfari would make it it 4-0 on an individual effort before McNeeley ended the scoring with her 4th goal of the day, assisted by Kellie Popkinl. Lily O’Neil added yet another shutout in the 5-0 victory.
Coach Doherty couldn't be happier with her team, “What a great way to end the regular season. Two shutouts and 11 unanswered goals. I am really proud of the way my girls are playing. These four points moved us into second place which puts us in a great position for playoffs.”
