College Camp

COLLEGE CAMP

This training camp prepares players for the Chowder Cup showcases and offers exposure to high level college coaches prior to the start of the games. This three-day, pre-tournament camp includes 9 hours of intense on-ice instruction, off-ice conditioning, team building and chalk talk.  Each camp will be coached by current collegiate head and assistant coaches, including: Robert Emery (Plattsburgh), Paul Pearl (Harvard), Glen Stewart (UNH), Ben Murphy (Bentley), Dave Berard (Holy Cross), John Rose (Dartmouth), Dave Lassonde (Darmouth), Mike Levine (Brown), Blaise MacDonald (Colby), Chris Potter (Wesleyan).

  • Daily: 1 hour on-ice, 1 hour off-ice, & lunch
  • 1 hour chalk talk, 1 hour strength & conditiong, 1 hour college seminar
  • Current college head and assistant coaches run all practices & chalk talk
  • Certified Evolution Sports Performance Strength & Conditioning Coach
  • One group of 12 goalies (3:1 goalie to coach ratio)
  • Jersey Included

RODMAN 4V4 SUMMER LEAGUE

The Rodman 4v4 Summer League will provide fast paced cross-ice hockey action! The off-season is a time to have fun with the game, but to also prepare for the upcoming season. Players will benefit from more puck touches, quicker decision-making, and increased creativity through a unique game atmosphere. Rosters are limited so please sign up soon to ensure your spot.

  • Mite: Tuesdays Nights (5/24 & 5/31 @ 6:00pm) (6/7-7/26 @ 4:40pm)
  • Squirt: Tuesday Nights (5/24 & 5/31 @ 5:10pm) (6/7-7/26 @ 4:50pm)
  • Peewee: Thursday Nights (5/19-8/4 @ 5:00pm) (No games 7/14, 7/21)
  • Evaluation game and 9 weeks of league games
  • Two 22 min halves (50 minute Games). Buzzer every 1.5-2 minutes for line changes (varies by age)

SOUTHEASTERN MASS SUMMER HOCKEY LEAGUE

Southeastern Mass Summer Hockey League was started to provide a AAA level hockey league in the summer that will play once a week against different competition in different rinks with minimized travel involved. Each of our teams will be hand selected by the coach. The SMSHL strives to provide a structure that's conducive to meeting the goal of fair and safe play.

  • Mite/Squirt (6:00pm) Peewee/Jr. High (7:20pm) HS/College (8:40pm)
  • Three 15 minute stop time periods
  • NO checking (in any division)
  • Competition Includes: Boston South Hockey, Hub City, SS Kings, Blue Chip, Boch Blazers
  • Coaches Include: Rob Barletta, Jon Lounsbury, Bill Ladd, Joe Verderber, Anthony Esdale
  • Cost: $299 per player

High School Power Skating

May 3rd - May 31st

HIGH SCHOOL POWER SKATING

Our staff will focus our Power Skating clinics on power skating with and without pucks. The areas to be covered will be forward/backwards skating, edge control, crossovers, power turns and take-offs. This will provide an opportunity for the player to improve both their power and speed of their skating and is a must for any player looking to take their game to the next level. Players will be grouped by ability. 

We'll cover Explosive Acceleration, Agility Maneuvers, Speed Training, Resistance Drills, Lateral Mobility, Powerful Crossovers, Powerful Turns, Balance, and Over Speed Drills.

These sessions will be coached by our Walpole Express Junior Coaches.

Boys Suburban Coaches League

June 13th - August 24th

BOYS SUBURBAN COACHES LEAGUE

The main goal of the Suburban Coaches League is to give our High School players a highly competitive league in the off-Season to work on their “game” once a week. Players must be currently playing High School Hockey. Teams will play 10 games on Monday or Wednesday nights (5pm or 6:10pm). No games July 4th or 6th. Games will be played at the Rodman Arena in Walpole, MA.. 

  • 3 Minute Warm-Up, Two 22 Minute Run Time Periods
  • SCL Shirt included with sign up
  • MIAA playing rules apply to all games
  • NO FIGHTING ALLOWED - Players fighting or taking major penalties will be ejected from league with NO refund

Girls Suburban Coaches League

GIRLS SUBURBAN COACHES LEAGUE

The main goal of the Suburban Coaches League is to give our High School players a highly competitive league in the off-Season to work on their “game” once a week. Teams will play 10 games on Wednesday or Friday nights (6:30pm & 7:50pm) plus mini tournament games to be played on June 18th. Wednesday's (April 13th, 20th, 27th, May 4th, 11th, 18th) and Friday's (May 27th, June 3rd, 10th, 17th). 

  • Games will consist of two 23 minute stop time periods.
  • SCL Shirt included with sign up.
  • MIAA playing rules apply to all games.
  • NO FIGHTING ALLOWED. Players fighting or taking major penalties will be ejected from league with NO refund.

SUMMER CAMPS + CLINICS

Our line-up offers both boys and girls the opportunity to develop their game to his or her top potential. We pride ourselves in producing a fun, competitive and challenging hockey camp. Throughout the week, each player will be involved with strength training, speed training, balance work, core training, agility training, plyometrics, stretching techniques and much more.

Our professional staff will address all hockey skills -- skating techniques, puck control, passing, positional drills, over speed training, forward and defenseman specific drills, odd and even-man rushes, shooting, checking, teamwork and team building exercises.
