EHLP: Premier Back On Track With Weekend Sweep

Walpole, MA  - The Express EHLP team took the reigns back this weekend as they were able to grab wins in all three of their contests. 

On Friday, the New England Wolves came to town and the Express were able to stay focused and disciplined to earn themselves a 5-1 win. The offensive attack was led by Nick Terry (Norton, MA) who scored two goals and added one assist in the game. Egor Borschev (Moscow, Russia), Ryan Healey (Westwood, MA,) and Jake Geller (Brookline, MA) also added goals in the win. Goaltender Henry O'Brien (Brookline, MA) got his second straight win in net stopping 20 of 21 shots faced.

On Saturday and Sunday the Philadelphia Little Flyers came to town for a two game set. The Express offensive attack exploded for 14 goals in two games winning 5-2 Saturday and 9-3 on Sunday. Goaltending continued to play strong as Christian Pelligrino (Arnold, MD) and Ben Colangelo (Medfield, MA) each earned a win on the weekend. The offense was led by Hunter Phillips (Randolph, MA) who scored four on the weekend. Mike Meredith (Fredonia, NY), Egor Borschev, Jake Geller, Brendan Sinclair (Frisco, TX) and Nick Terry had two a piece. Jon Merrigan (Hull, MA) also chipped in with a goal of his own.

"I'm thrilled with the way the team is playing at the moment," said Coach Jon Lounsbury.  "We still need to become more disciplined to have success but we are moving forward in the right direction."

The EHLP team is 8-2-1 in their last 11 games. The team is home this weekend for two againts the Vermont Lumberjacks.
