EHL: Peters, Wright, and Gratton Named Captains

Walpole, MA  - Walpole Express Head Coach Jon Lounsbury named Chris Peters (Rochester, NY) team captain for the 2017-18 season. Eric Wright (San Diego, CA) and Chris Gratton (Pottstown, PA) were named assistant captains. If these names sound familiar, they should. All three players wore Express jerseys last season and helped lead the team through a great season.

"It says a lot about the character of the players we brought back," Lounsbury said. “These are guys that go above and beyond to make everyone around them better. They are proud to put on the Express sweater each day and their earnest attitude resonates with every player in the room."

Peters has led by example since entering the program last season. “Chris works hard to get the best out of every player in the room, he’s vocal and does a greta job leading by example" Lounsbury said.

Gratton is another lead-by-example player, who is coming off a great first year of junior hockey. “Chris is the most prepared player we have on our club, his attention to detail is very good and he pushes the players around him to compete all the time.  We are excited to have him back” added Lounsbury

Forward Eric Wright is in his third year with the Express. “Eric has rebounded nicely from last season after being riddled with injuries.  He is completely invested in the teams success and will help us in a lot of categories this season.” said Lounsbury.  “Coming back from injuries is never easy but it shows a lot of character to come back in top shape and excited to lead a team” added Lounsbury.
