EHL: Express Continue to Grow as a Team

Walpole, MA  - The Express EHL team had goals from seven different players as they routed Total Athletic Seahawks 7-2 in their home opener this past Saturday at Rodman Arena.

Both teams battled hard in the first period of a fast paced, hard hitting game. Trevor Pray (Tonowanda, NY) would start the scoring for the Express late in the first, but shortly after the Seahawks would respond knotting the game at 1 a piece.

Eric Wright (San Diego, CA) would start the scoring In the second off a beautiful tic-tac toe play from Bryan Colburn and Trevor Pray. The Express would never look back as they dominated play for the remainder of the game. Max Flynn (Wenatchee, WA) was solid again in net stopping 24-26 shots faced for his second win of the season.

"I was very pleased with the way our team played after the first. We made the right adjustments and settled in nicely,” said Coach Lounsbury. “We have a lot of depth in this club and they have a warrior mentality. I haven’t had a team score 7 goals in a single game for a few seasons. It's nice to have all the lines on the same page.”

The Express will face off agains the NH Avalanche next Saturday night at Rodman Arena.
