NEWJHL: Express Girls Grab Big Victory against Rival

Walpole, MA  - The Walpole Express NEWJHL team faced off against the NAHA Red at the Essex Sports Center in Middleton, MA for an exhibition game this past weekend. It was a great back and forth game that saw NAHA get the only goal of the game to take a 1-0 victory over the Express. Coach Danielle Doherty was glad that her team had the opportunity to play NAHA, saying "They are such a great organization so it was awesome getting to play one of their teams. It was a great experience for the girls."

Back in league play the next day, the Express hosted the Northern Cyclones at Rodman Arena. The Express picked up the big W by defeating the Cyclones in a 1-0 game. Danielle Craig scored the lone goal of the game, while goaltender Lily O’Neil picked up the shutout with her outstanding play in net.

“What a great win for my girls. I am so happy and proud of them,” Coach Danielle said. "The Cyclones are 2-time league champions so it was a great win to get."

The Express will host the New Jersey Rockets next weekend for their final 2 league games.
