Walpole, MA - Walpole Express forward Eric Lipa has committed to Oswego State for the fall of 2016. The 5’11”, 185 lbs. center from Buffalo, NY is a constant offensive threat every time he steps on the ice. He will be a welcome addition to the nationally ranked Oswego Lakers, which play in very competitive SUNYAC.
“Eric came to us last year via the Nichols School in Buffalo, NY and had a monster rookie campaign scoring 24 goals,” explained Express Head Coach Jon Lounsbury. “While he had a great first year, Eric thought another year of junior hockey would help better prepare him for making an impact as a freshman in college. I couldn't be happier for Eric. He works his tail off each day to make the dream of playing college hockey a reality."
“I want to thank all my coaches, past and present, as well as my teammates for all the help and support over the years,” Lipa said. “I'm excited to be taking the next step in my hockey career as a Laker."
“Everyone within the Express organization wishes Eric and his family best of luck moving forward,” Lounsbury said. “He will be incredibly hard to replace.”
