Walpole, MA - Walpole Express Defensemen Zach Simpson has committed to Division 1 American International College (AIC) for the fall of 2014. Simpson is a 6’2” 185 lb. defensemen from Denver, Co. The 1993 born defensemen was known for his outstanding work ethic on and off the ice as well as his ability to add grit and stability to the teams line up.
AIC is a new NCAA Division I school currently playing in the Atlantic Hockey League. AIC will open their 2014 season with a road game against defending NCAA Champs Union College.

"From day one, I was very aware of the high expectations for the team and the individual players. I experienced great hockey teaching this allowed me to take advantage of the tremendous exposure to collegiate programs around the country."
Simpson added, "When I began reviewing college options, the entire coaching staff explored any and all possibilities for me to ensure that I would find the best fit for both athletics and academics. I cannot thank Coach Lounsbury and his staff enough for all of the calls they made and advice they offered to help me make the right decision for my future. The Express is an exceptional junior hockey organization, and it does a remarkable job preparing players for college life an academics. "
