(Walpole, MA) -- Walpole Express Junior B forward Ryo Miyazaki has committed to play Division II at Franklin Pierce University. Ryo came to the Express as an 87 birth date after winning the DII Prep School Championship last year.

“Ryo was one of the most exciting players to watch this year,” said Coach Brooks. “His work ethic is second to none and his ability to kill penalties was a key part in our success. Franklin Pierce is going to be a great fit for Ryo, I know the coaching staff personally and we both feel Ryo is going to have the opportunity to be an impact player,” added Brooks.

Franklin Pierce competes in the ECAC North East and is located in N.H. This past year the school has brought in many key players, added a brand new rink and sent their first player to the pro ranks.

“Ryo is a great player and great student athlete. We wish him the best of luck next year and I look forward to seeing him play next year in college,” added GM Rob Barletta.
