(Walpole, MA) -- Moscow native Georgiy
Gurianov has been listed in the NHL Central Scouting Mid-Season
Rankings. The 6’5” , 200-pounder, who plays for the
Walpole Express Jr. B team, was ranked #145 among North American
skaters. Despite his Russian passport, Gurianov has been the top
scorer in the MJHL all season with a record of 38-27-65 in 29 games.
In other accomplishments, he was named to the MJHL All-Star team,
and has been selected as the MJHL Offensive Player of the Week three
times this season. As a result, the left-handed forward has drawn
substantial interest from several Division 1 schools.
“Georgiy is an exceptional player,” said Head Coach
Tony Dalessio. “He has an innate sense of where to put the
puck and can find the back of the net in situations others simply
can’t. I have great confidence that his hockey career is on
the rise.”
Gurianov will join several of his Express Jr. B teammates on the
All-Star team. The game is set for Jan. 25 at Iorio Arena in Walpole,
Mass.
