(Walpole, Mass) -- Right-handed forward Steve Charest of Amqui, Quebec, Canada will lace up for the Walpole Express Junior A team for the 2008-2009 season.

The 19-year-old Charest played last season for the Comox Valley Glacier Kings in Canada’s competitive Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League, where he scored 40 points in 36 games.

The solid 200-pounder also played several games with the Nanaimo Clippers of the British Columbia Hockey League.

“Steve is very strong on the puck, and has been blessed with exceptional vision,” said Express Head Coach Mark Kumpel. “We expect that Steve will make a strong contribution in the upcoming season.”
