(Walpole, MA) -- The Walpole Express signed Canton, Mass. resident Dino Federico for the upcoming 2008-2009 season following open tryouts.

Federico had played for the Express’ B team last season, when he was named offensive player of the year. He also was named to the Metropolitan Junior hockey league’s All-Star team, for which he served as an honorary captain.

“Dino’s passion for the game is exceptional and his strong work ethic has propelled his success,” said Express General Manager Rob Barletta. “He is thrilled to be back again next season as a member of the A team.”

The Express are proud members of the Atlantic Junior Hockey League Junior A and the Metropolitan Junior Hockey League Junior B leagues. Both leagues are based on the common goal of player development and successful college placement.
