(Walpole, MA) -- High-scoring Walpole Express forward Andrew Wilcox has committed to Elmira College in the powerful ECAC West, bringing the team's total to 10 players soon to join the ECAC. In the past two seasons the Express have produced 24 student athletes.

"Our goal is to prepare our players for collegiate hockey and help then obtain those opportunities," said Express General Manager Rob Barletta. "The Express organization has come a long way over the last few seasons. Our teams and players get better and better each year, sparking increased interest from more and more schools with strong programs."

"Though it was something of a let down losing in the semi-finals this season, we feel the season was a success because we've been able to advance our players, which is our number-one priority," Barletta added. "We feel we have one of the best junior hockey organizations on the east coast. We'll continue to build on our solid foundation. We see the future as limitless."

Despite missing 12 games this season, Wilcox produced 12 goals and 25 assists for 37 points in just 30 games. "Andrew was a key reason why the team has made great strides in the past few years," Barletta said. "He really produced for us for the past two seasons. Elmira, which was ranked number one in the country in Division III this year and has an unbelievable tradition, is a perfect fit for him."
