(Walpole, MA) -- The Walpole Express’ Junior A and B teams, which just completed their respective training camps, move head-first into the regular season by hosting strong visiting teams.

The A team, coached by Mark Kumpel, will face the Hartford Jr. Wolf Pack on Saturday, Sept. 6 at 8:30 pm and Sunday, Sept. 7 at 12:40 pm. The B team, led by Head Coach (and Walpole Express General Manager) Tony Dalessio, will host the Binghamton Jr. Senators on Saturday, Sept. 6 at 8:40 pm and Sunday Sept. 7 at 9:30 am. All games will be held at Iorio Arena in Walpole, Mass.

Though season openers, these games are significant for the Express organization as they mark the debut of new head coaches Kumpel and Dalessio.

“Both teams have been working very hard for the past 10 days in an effort to prepare for the upcoming season,” Dalessio said. “They had a good weekend in our Showcase and while there is still work to be done in practice this week our boys are ready to go. They know there are four points on the line this weekend for both teams so all of the players understand the importance of these games. Plus, I know they want to make my coaching debut with the team, as well as Mark’s debut, successful.”
